Water is a precious commodity

Ray crawled under the old mobile home to fix some water leaks.
Our mobile home restoration is slowly but surely coming along. One of the men at our church, Ray, and his wife, Debbie, came over. Ray is a plumber and electrician by trade, and he was kind enough to fix the many water leaks. Pipes in the wall behind one of the tubs, under the toilet in one of the bathrooms, and under a bathroom sink all had major leaks.

I paid $900 to our local rural water company to get a tap and meter put in at the road. Then I bought 250 feet of PVC pipe, along with glue, cleaner and couplings, for the water line.

From left to right, Preacher Jerry (a.k.a. "Preach," Nancy's son Hunter, and Preacher's son, Mac, help put in a sewer pipe.

Yesterday our pastor, along with our friend Buck, came over. Our pastor works for a local natural gas company, and his boss was kind enough to allow he and one of his co-workers the opportunity to borrow their "ditch witch" to dig a trench. The three men put in our water line from the meter at the road going up to the house.

Once we get some new toilets and facets and install them, we'll be able to have water and sewer with no problems! Now we just need power, heat, a roof that doesn't leak, walls without holes in them.... God will provide!
